As G&G Pets continues to grow, we’re always looking for pet care professionals to join our care team as part-time Pet Sitters.

This flexible role allows you to work from our clients' homes in various locations within San Francisco, Marin County, and San Mateo County.

The ideal candidate for G&G Pets is a who is both passionate and experienced in pet care, and understands and values high-quality service. As a Pet Sitter at G&G Pets, you will play a vital role in delivering the in-person, front-line experience that defines our exceptional standard of pet care.

Role Resonsiblities

  • Client Care Prep: Review profiles in advance and discuss any questions or concerns with the client ahead of care.

  • Pet Sitting Duties: Stay at the client's home following the agreed-upon care schedule to walk, play, and feed the client’s dogs and cats as they require.

  • Daily Updates: Provide daily updates (including photos) to both the client and G&G Pets on the progress of care, ensuring transparency and peace of mind.

  • Long-Term Scheduling: You’ll need to be able to meet clients and prepare for bookings in advance, sometimes up to 12 months.

IDEAL CANDIDATES

  • Dog Care Experience: 2+ years of professional pet care experience, including grooming, walking, or pet sitting, is required. Candidates who have experience with reactive and special needs pets will be prioritized. 

  • Client Service Background: 2+ years of demonstrable experience in hospitality, client services/engagement, or a similar field.

  • Passion for Animals: You’re passionate about animal care and are committed to delivering a high-quality, service-led client experience. 

  • Self-Motivated & Organized: Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously, taking initiative, and keeping track of the animal’s schedule.

  • Emotional Intelligence: You are an effective communicator and carry a deep understanding of how to address client and pet needs with sensitivity. You need to be able to calm the anxieties of both pets and clients.

  • Location Flexibility: Must be willing to work remotely and travel anywhere in the Bay Area to provide care in our clients’ homes.

  • Age Criteria: 18 years or older

Note: occasional, in-person meetings may be required for training. Certification in pet care or dog training isn’t required, but can help you stand out as a candidate.

Important Details

  • This is a part-time, long-term position.

  • This is a 1099 position.

  • Must be 18 or older.

  • Must have transportation to anywhere in the Bay Area.

  • Must have reliable mobile communication and be able to send and receive photos (of pets) to the Pet Parents.

  • Able to accept bookings up to 12 months in advance.
